Enabler

On the verge of 2011 – many young people were reaching Himika to pursue the secret elixir of giving life to one’s long cherished dream. Hundreds & thousands of them were reaching for her using various platforms in wish of acquiring that secret formula. Everyone contains numerous obstacles in their life. Either that comes from parents, society, personal disputes or lack of inspiration – there is one person in our life who makes us endure and overcome these obstacles. We simply refer to them as role models- a figure/figurine boldly moving forward; removing every hindrances which comes in front to pursue that dream and giving life to it.
Till 2011, Samira could not define to people about what is the role of Team engine, who they are, what they do, what they are providing and how they want to engage with the community. On that epoch “Startup” or “Social Enterprise” wording was not a familiar term to anyone or anywhere in Bangladesh and that’s where Team Engine was fronting hinges communicating themselves to others. From there to now, she has went through phases of defining and redefining her project, and now everyone knows Team Engine as a social good company. She has made this term famous and she has taken Team Engine to the heights where it has become the platform of giving life to people’s dreams.
Through team engine, Samira Zuberi Himika has started fulfilling her role of an enabler. What does an enabler do? They enable people, duh, many would say. Why her? Because by being a female entrepreneur of South-east Asia from a very young age, she has been through it all and she has seen all of it.
She has been playing the roles of a serial entrepreneur, a public speaker, an eco-system builder, a campaigner and a life-coach for quite some time now. Playing out these roles has given her the crème de la crème insights needed to mobilize the youth. And playing these roles simultaneously, constantly is how Samira Zuberi Himika has become a role model of an enabler.
