What defines a boss woman?

  • They are strong
  • They are smart
  • They are badass

To survive in the patriarchal society, all of us women have to have a certain amount of strength. Boss women are bosses because they do not project this strength where it is unnecessary or unwelcome. The relation between what we are and people want us to be is never settled. So they continuously observe and analyze their surroundings- and they play their way into it.
Adaptive nature- the core strength of Bangladeshi women, lets a boss woman play the right tune in her clarinet at all the right moments.
Does this mean that we are opportunists? It would be foolish to think so. If only adapting to the situation would lead to success, power or enlightenment, then everyone could do it, right?
Here comes the BADASS part into the picture. Being feminine has a strong link with being cute in our perception- whatever a woman do, there lies a boundary in people’s mind, up until which doing this is cute. If you go beyond that- you are doing too much, you are creating unnecessary hassle, and you are being not so lady-like.
Boss women show their strength at these points. They stamp their feet on the glass ceilings and break them off. Again and again and over again.
There are people who think that women are incapable of leading and managing work as entrepreneur but I did and I think I am quite good at it. Moreover, I’ve seen lot more women doing this same thing with no less efficiency and smartness than men.
